Tanner Smith had a memorable Senior Night in Littlejohn Coliseum as he racked up 14 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals to lead Clemson to a a victory over Virginia Tech.
Devin Booker and Andre Young were the other Tigers in double figures in scoring with 11 and 10 points respectively.
Milton Jennings grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Clemson on the boards, as the Tigers outrebounded Virginia Tech 36-30.
In an unusual stat line Virginia Tech had 14 turnovers – 13 of which were steals by Clemson and the Hokies made 8 three point shots, shooting 50% from that range, while the Tigers were 0 for 10 from three point range.
Clemson shot 25 free throws to 11 for Virginia Tech.
