Thoughts after watching Clemson rally from 18 points down in the second half to defeat Maryland 56-45 and move to 7-0.
- I suggested the Tigers were due for a clunker but would find a way to win. Bingo.
- Sammy Watkins has to be on everyone’s All-America list now. Sure he made mistakes, as every player does, but he more than made up for them.
- The defense wasn’t pretty, especially considering Clemson apparently can’t stop a running quarterback with Georgia Tech coming up, but just realize that the offense basically gave Maryland 14 points.
- I also suggested that perhaps Boyd would be off slightly due to the hip injury from last week. Sure looked like something was amiss, whether it was his hip or his head.
- Jaron Brown continues to make big catches for the Tigers, quietly going about his business while Watkins gets the glory.
- Huge night for Andre Ellington. Nice to see him break out.
- No panic in this team, how great is that to see?
